In a story June 5 about family-run and family-controlled companies, The Associated Press reported erroneously the ownership interest of the Tyson family in Tyson Foods Inc. The family controls 70 percent of the voting power in the company, but doesn't own 70 percent of the company. NEW YORK - It's hard to keep control of a large company, but a few families have maintained ownership of their companies for generations - in a few cases, more than a century.
