By 74-21 vote, Senate passed Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (S 754). If enacted into law, legislation would let businesses voluntarily and securely share information about cybersecurity attacks with federal agencies without jeopardizing customers' personal information. In response, NEMA's Kevin J. Cosgriff applauded this "important first step" taken by Congress but noted that "there is more work to be done to protect against cyber- and physical-threats" and offered support.
