In this crazy year, it seem apropos that the wrong Miss Universe was crowned the other night, as bulls and bears similarly played tug-of-war with the crown for short periods. The FOMC stuck to their long-telegraphed script and hiked the fed funds rate, but their accompanying soothing words didn't comfort everyone.
