Lake Placid Mayor John Holbrook said he was disappointed that the new grocery store was not coming to town, but he hoped that another store would find the location suitable. Greater Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Eileen May was concerned about the employees who are out of work and also having a large vacant store in the plaza.
