Retired NJ Supreme Court justice Marie L. Garibaldi dies

A member of the top court from 1982 until 2000, Garibaldi broke barriers for women over a 40-year career that started while female lawyers were a rarity. Today, around one-third of lawyers nationwide are women, and the state Supreme Court from 2011 to 2013 had a four-woman majority and has three today.
