(Telecompaper) Samsung Electronics has announced its second smartphone running the Tizen operating system. The same as the first Tizen phone launched in January, the Tizen Z3 will debut in India, selling for INR 8,490 (EUR 115) from October. Available in a choice of silver, gold or black, the Z3 features a 5-inch HD Super Amoled screen, 8 megapixel Bright Lens F2.2 rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front camera with a range of selfie options. In addition to a 2,600 mAh battery with 'Ultra Power Saving Mode', the smartphone comes with an 'Ultra Data Saving Mode' that minimizes mobile data usage. Designed specifically for the Indian market, the Z3 comes preloaded with the 'My Galaxy' app that offers consumers various exclusive services, local deals, entertainment content and offers on extensively used categories like recharges, travel, movies, fashion and post-purchase assistance. The Samsung Z3 also features the 'Mix Radio' app, available exclusively from Samsung. The free music streaming service offers over 35 million songs, including an extensive local catalogue with over 10 genres of Indian music.
