Functionality replaces process of plunge EDM to establish starter hole, and construction of carbide with abrasion-resistant coating promotes efficacy during use on high-strength alloyed tool steels. Holes with length/diameter ratio of up to 80 x Ø are possible in range of Ø.25–1.50 mm in steps of .1 mm for hole depths up to 20/40/60/80 x Ø.
