Altice USA revenues rise 4.1%, EBITDA margins hit record levels in Q3

(Telecompaper) Altice USA said it delivered its best financial performance in the third quarter, though TV losses continued to plague customer numbers. Revenues for the quarter went 4.1 percent higher to USD 2.42 billion, driven by Residential growth of 2.4 percent, Business Services rising 6 percent and advertising revenue jumping 37.8 percent.
Altice confirms talks to find fibre partner in Europe

(Telecompaper) Altice Europe has confirmed recent reports that it's looking for investors to help accelerate its fibre roll-out. In a statement, the company said it started a strategic review of its fibre infrastructure "to further accelerate its deployment and is exploring financial partnerships".

(Telecompaper) Altice Europe said it's making progress on its turnaround plans, but reported a further fall in results for the second quarter. Revenues dropped 4.8 percent to EUR 3.48 billion, and adjusted EBITDA was down 10.3 percent to EUR 1.32 billion. The margin fell to 37.8 percent from 40.1 percent a year ago.

Last week in telecoms: M&A positive for Veon, negative for Inmarsat and Altice

(Telecompaper) Last week's share price performances were positive enough to bring our European telecoms index back to a level we hadn't seen since the middle of May. Veon was the absolute winner, followed by Turk Telekom (+12%). The three Belgain shares in our basket showed strong recovery from recent weakness: Telenet (+12%), Proximus (+7.7%) and Orange BE (+6.9%). We also recorded some double digit losses, for Telekom Slovenije, Inmarsat and Polish Play Communications (-11%).
