Inver Hills Community College receives $25,000 grant to support veterans

Inver Hills Community College Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corporation, to fund scholarships for veterans and their family members pursuing STEM education at IHCC. The grant will be distributed over four years and will fund several scholarships per year under the UTC Aerospace Systems Veterans Scholarship program.

Community to help woman seriously injured in crash that killed husband

Last August, Robinette Tilley and her husband, Don Tilley, were riding their Harley on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville on the way back to their Statesville home when they crashed. Don Tilley was killed and Robinette Tilley was seriously injured.
