The S.C. Law Enforcement Division arrested Deanne Ogden, 54, and David Ogden, 56, of Jesup, Ga., on Thursday, and booked them into the Jasper County Detention Center.Between June 25, 2008 and October 14, 2015, Deanne Ogden created fraudulent checks at her workplace, O.C. Welch Ford Lincoln, Inc., located at 4929 Independence Blvd. in Hardeeville, the warrant states. Deanne Ogden, while working as assistant comptroller at the dealer, allegedly used the checks to pay off hundreds of thousands of dollars in personal credit card bills.

Stamford co. executive charged with insider trading

The FBI arrested a Norwalk man Friday and charged him with trading stock on insider financial information about Harman International Industries where he worked, with the Department of Justice pursuing a criminal complaint in tandem with civil charges filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Norwalk resident Dennis W. Hamilton , 45, was released on a $2 million bond after appearing in New Haven before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah Merriam , according to the office of Deirdre Daly , U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut, which said Harman has cooperated in the investigation.

Man charged with robbing Gary auto part store

Four people, including 21-year-old Richard D. Smith, robbed the Advance Auto Parts store in the 2200 block of Grant Street in Gary, Ind., at gunpoint on Dec. 22, according to a statement from Gary police. They took the drawers from the cash registers and ran away.

A fourth man was charged Tuesday in connection with the death of Downey real estate agent during a home-invasion robbery in January, according to a news report. Michael Anthony Harrod of Anaheim was charged with three felony counts, including murder, home invasion robbery and first-degree burglary with a person present in the Jan 17 attack that left 59-year-old Jim Rudometkin dead, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and reported on KTLA .
