Spun yarn prices have further fallen in the past seven days in China, over a weakness in demand. Seasonal trends should now favor spinners, however, as inventories also need to be replenished, and yarn import prices are not very competitive. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Gross margins should continue dropping, as a result, with anemic exports further depressing production and sales.
