Galileo PRS service navigation performance analyses and verification engineer

Position Reference 019 You will have the opportunity to be part of the Galileo System and service support, by assessing the performance of PRS service and coordinating the PRS validation activities. You will also take a major part in the definition of the PRS validation plan and relevant test plans, to define the test cases and test procedures to be executed and to prepare the test reports. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the definition and the evolution of the PRS Service KPIs and the Service level targets for specific deployment stages corresponding to the service milestones Support the definition of the evolution of the PRS Service Definition document Evaluate the PRS service performance considering the impacts of operations and derive the necessary modifications to the OSRDOSRDx e.g. impact of operations on the continuity of service Support GSA to analyze and assess the reports provided by GSOp, in particular for what concerns PRS performance monitoring if available Support Exploitation Reviews by analyzing the PRS Performance evolution between consecutive periods provided by ESAWO and complementing the conclusions with the input coming from the System Operator and from GRC Ensure verification of the PRS service requirements progressively through the different service milestones complementing verification evidence provided by core infrastructure, operations and service facilities with verification evidence coming from service validation activity Produce the inputs related to the service facilities and operations to the aggregated VCD to MRD limited to PRS service Produce and maintain the PRS validation plan Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the PRS service implementation plans Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the System deployment and verification plans Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the Service Facilities deployment and verification plans Define the PRS service validation strategy Define the PRS service validation boundaries Define and plan the PRS validation test campaigns Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent qualification in either physics, mathematics, electric or electronic engineering, aerospace engineering or telecommunications engineering, geodesy Knowledge of Mission Requirement Documents MRD Experience with PRS Requirement document Experience with PRS Service Definition document Experience with PRS Service Implementation plans Knowledge of the Galileo System architecture, performance, signal and in general of GNSS GPS, Glonass, EGNOS Former professional involvement in major Space Projects andor GNSS related services Knowledge of the design and requirements definition process for space systems Management of external and internal System interfaces Valid Security clearance by their national security administration where relevant How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level? Copernicus Data Processing Operations Engineer

Help us prepare the operations buildup of the planned Sentinel6 high precision altimetry mission and coordinate routine operations for the data processing and product extraction systems for other Copernicus Missions. EUMETSAT is the European operational satellite agency for monitoring weather, climate and the environment. We are leading the system definition, ground segment development, operations preparations and operations for the Sentinel6 mission, part of the highprofile Copernicus Programme. We are looking for an experienced Data Processing Operations Engineer to coordinate the operations build up for the Copernicus Sentinel6JasonCS mission due for launch in 2020. This is a unique opportunity to establish guides, documents and procedures for the data processing systems for both the primary altimetry and the secondary radiooccultation missions. You will support the Payload Data Processing PDP development activities, contributing to verification and operational validation procedures. As part of the role, you will define and implement procedures and tools for the quality monitoring of products, coordinating routine operations for the data processing and product extraction systems delivering Level 0 to Level 2 products for all Copernicus missions exploited by EUMETSAT. Using your expertise, you will contribute to the definition and product processing concepts for future missions, supporting training activities relevant to Copernicus data processing. Your work at EUMETSAT This is a 247 operational environment, managing complex data and product processing systems. You will need to be comfortable working effectively under pressure, with a minimum of supervision. You will bring your experience of managing near realtime data processing of spaceborne imaging andor sounding instruments, along with an ability to work in a UNIXLINUX environment. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills are essential, as is an ability to write concise and focused technical support documentation. You must be a team player, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information. Given the operational nature of this role, you would be expected to provide oncall support.
