This role will suit someone with experience in complex electric systems from industries such as Space, Aircraft, Automotive, Submarine, Rail, Telecommunications, Nuclear or similar industries. As a Head of Electrical Avionic Systems, you will be based in Stevenage, joining a transnational division, and looking after a team of 20 Engineers. You will be in charge of the system architecture, including design and analysis of the spacecraft electrical system. You will be either using your Space experience or be trained to work on Earth Observation, Navigation and Science and Orbital programs. The systems you will work on will be Power Systems Data Handling Systems RF systems On Orbit Control Systems. Electrical Harness System EMC responsibility There is transnational travel with this role, approx. once a month. Tasks accountabilities Manage your team 20 persons of Electrical Systems Lead Architects including coaching, developing diversity, fostering wellbeing at work and team dynamics. Propose and develop the bestinclass Electrical Avionics Architectures Maximize reuse, applying product policy and fostering innovation for Customers requirements and Cost optimization. With your team, contribute to the Order Intake goals for Phase A B1 studies and phase CD proposals Guide the Transformation program, Digitalization implementation and roadmap Manage your department Workload, Headcounts, Internal Budget, Expenses Develop and deliver On Time, On Cost and On Quality OTOCOQ the Electrical Systems and Major Systems Components This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth. Required skills Strong experience in the Design, Development and Delivery management of Electrical Systems Leadership skills developed, ideally, through management of Engineering Teams Experience in Change management new ways of working, transformation program, digitalization Experience in Transnational programs Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including parttime.
