Usernames, phone numbers of 4.6 mln Snapchat accounts leaked
2014-01-02 20:33:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) The usernames and phone numbers for 4.6 million Snapchat accounts were temporarily posted online by hackers that exploited a vulnerability within the chat service, reported PCmag.com. SnapchaDB.com went live on 31 December 2013 and allowed consumers to download Snapchat's database of user information, although the last two digits of phone numbers were censored. The site has since been taken down due to the host becoming "intimidated by the overwhelming attention," SnapchatDB told The Verge, however a cached version is still available.
