Ten years ago the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot in downtown San Jose was an idea that seemed sort of, pardon the diminutive, cute. A cute name, a neat idea to give Valley residents a nudge to get some exercise Thanksgiving Day to balance out the consuming of mass quantities of excellent food later that day.

Cabot Norit Activated Carbon Awarded Two New Contracts For Mercury Removal

Cabot Corporation announced that it has entered into two new contracts to provide its DARCO Hg family of activated carbon products to energy utilities with customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Texas. In order to meet stringent federal regulations for mercury emissions in the United States, Cabot expects to provide the utilities with approximately 25 million pounds of activated carbon over the next three years.
