NASA awards contract modification to Raytheon Space.

NASA has awarded a sole source contract modification to Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems, of El Segundo, CA, for two Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite instruments for the Polar Follow-On / Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) -3 and JPSS -4 Missions. This is a cost-plus-award-fee new work modification. Contractor will manufacture, test, and deliver the VIIRS instruments, support instrument integration on the spacecraft, and provide launch and post-launch support.

Enclosure modification services offer 1,800 x 1,800 dpi digital printing in up to 65,536 individual colors using Mimaki UJF-6042 UV curing LED digital inkjet printer. Latter, featuring A2, 420 x 594 mm flatbed and 150 mm throat height, allows up to 13U, 19 in. plastic and painted or anodized metal panels to be printed with legends, logos, and photo-quality graphics in different textures across complete surface without margins around periphery. Multiple smaller panels can be printed in one pass.
