(Telecompaper) T-Mobile US is relaunching its Test Drive offer, allowing new customers to try out its network free for a longer 30 days free. Rather than using a second phone, they will receive a Coolpad Surf Device hotspot to test the network, including support for T-Mobile's new 600 MHz frequencies. The trial is limited to 30 days or 30 GB, whichever comes first, with no charge for the customer.

Texas joins states lawsuit against T-Mobile, Sprint merger

(Telecompaper) The Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that Texas intends to join a coalition of 13 other states, and the District of Columbia, in challenging the proposed merger of Sprint and T-Mobile. The states are going ahead with their case against the merger in the name of consumer interests, despite the federal Department of Justice reaching an agreement with the companies on concessions.
