NBCUniversal launches SVoD reality service Hayu

(Telecompaper) NBCUniversal International has launched a new subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) reality service called hayu. The service is curated and fully integrated with social media. It will launch in Australia in March on a range of devices (mobile, tablet, laptop and connected TV). At launch, the streaming service will include over 3,000 episodes of reality content. It will add 500+ episodes each year, the majority of which will debut on the service on the same day as they premiere in the US. The service is available without a contract for AUD 5.99/GBP 3.99 per month, with all hayu customers getting a full 30-day free trial. Hayu will also launch in the UK and Ireland.
