2014-10-23 00:02:05| Furniture - Topix.net
The companies have offered to buy Lane's former office and warehouse facility in Verona, according to a bankruptcy filing by FBI Wind Down Inc. United Furniture has a large manufacturing plant in Okolona that employs over 900 people and is a major contributor to the economy of Chickasaw and surrounding counties. Earlier this year, Heritage Home Group - the umbrella company for Lane, Broyhill, Thomasville, Drexel Heritage, Maitland Smith and other furniture companies that were once part of the now-defunct Furniture Brands International - said it was auctioning 17 Thomasville and Lane properties in all, mostly in North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.
