Shippensburg University's Council of Trustees approved a recommendation Friday to submit two candidates for university president to the Office of the Chancellor: George F. "Jody" Harpster Jr., Ph.D., and Kenneth Steven Hawkinson, Ph.D. Harpster is interim president of Shippensburg University and Hawkinson is the provost and academic vice-president at Western Illinois University. The presidential search committee recommended these candidates at the conclusion of a nationwide search.
