A vacancy for an Image Processing Research and Development Engineer mf has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site. As part of the Satellite User Control Ground System CoC unit, the Image Chain department carries out research and development activities related to the entire image processing chains of future observation systems. In this context, you will perform image processing activities, either in RD or for projects led by the department. The concerned fields of activity, depending on project opportunities, will include Researching image processing developing algorithms filtering, deconvolution, restoration, compression, motion estimation and image quality and simulation software Contributing to the development of Observation System simulation and image simulation tools Analysing the performance of imaging systems developing assessments and analysing the impact of processing on the system design Preparing processing specifications for their implementation by a third parties Developing some operational software for image processing or telemetry Depending on project opportunities, you will be in charge of the following activities Researchingprototyping ground or onboard image processing algorithms Specifying or developing operational software Some business trips may be required in the context of demonstrations, conferences, user support, etc. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience engineering diploma or university equivalent Masters degree in the field of applied mathematics, signal processing and IT. first experience in these fields and in software development. knowledge or experience in C and Matlab languages. knowledge in image and signal processing. interest in algorithmic design and the developmentintegration of software, You are meticulous and have an analytical mindset, You are able to take the initiative and work autonomously, you are able to integrate into a team and adapt easily and you have good interpersonal skills, negotiation level of English, French would be an asset.
