A vacancy for a Propulsion MSC Major Space Component Leader mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the Mechanical Systems France department, in charge of the mechanical, thermal and propulsion for Major Satellite Components MSC on Earth Observation, Navigation and Science ENS satellites in France. In the context of institutional or export programmes and as the Thermal MSC Leader, you will be responsible for the propulsion engineering and verification of the satellites, as well as for the delivery of the propulsion subsystems, in compliance with the performancequality requirements and schedulecost commitments. In that context, you will define the propulsion subsystem specification, contribute to the propulsion supplier selection process and drive the coengineering with the supplier. You will follow the propulsion subsystem development and will also interface with the customer and launcher authorities as needed. You will be collocated within the project team and will report to both the project System Engineering Manager and the Industrial Manager as well as the propulsion MSC Manager. You will be in charge of the following activities Consolidating technical requirements Performing satellite propulsion tradeoffs Producing the propulsion module technical specifications Producing the propulsion module technical followups Supporting satellite integration Testing satellite propulsion Supporting launch campaigns Supporting LEOP and inorbit acceptance Scheduling and controlling costs. You will also contribute to the implementation of the product policy on projects and to propulsion improvement activities and the sharing of lessons learnt within the TSPET transnational team. This role will involve some travel for business 1 or 2 days 4 times a year for meetings with the customersuppliers, and 2 weeks for the launch campaign and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to an Engineering degree or equivalent, 10 years of experience in the field of satellite or product propulsion designtests, Knowledge of Satellite propulsion design, testing and operations, Team player, good communication skills, Reliability, synthesis skills, Autonomy and ability to anticipate, Negotiation level of English and intermediate level of French.
