New Delhi, Jan. 7: The axe has fallen on PSUs in the Centre's bid to put a lid on the fiscal deficit - prised open by the huge demands of the army pension scheme and the pay hike of government workers on one hand and the shortfall in the divestment receipts on the other. The finance ministry has asked state-run companies such as Coal India and Steel Authority of India Ltd to pay higher or special dividends this year to address the fiscal crunch.

Report: Indiana's tallest building struggling to fill space

The 48-story Chase Tower in downtown Indianapolis is struggling to fill vacant space, according to a report from a commercial real estate firm. The report from Cushman & Wakefield says Indiana's tallest building had an occupancy rate of 68 percent at the end of October.

Agriculture jobs projected to climb, but NNY college grads needed to fill them

Area experts say jobs in the agriculture industry will open up in Northern New York and across the country, but more college graduates will be needed to fill them. Nearly 60,000 jobs are projected to open in agriculture, food and natural resource industries each year for the next five years in the U.S. for graduates with at least a bachelor's degree in those areas, according to a report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Purdue University.
