Oi revenues fall 8.5% in Q4, no guidance for 2016

(Telecompaper) Brazilian operator Oi ended the fourth quarter of 2015 with BRL 6.70 billion of net revenues, down 8.5 percent on the same period in 2014. EBITDA dropped 46.6 percent to BRL 1.71 billion, and the EBITDA margin fell to 25.5 percent. Recurring EBITDA was down only 2.2 percent to BRL 1.79 billion, for a margin of 26.8 percent. Oi's net loss swelled to BRL 4.55 billion, and net debt increased 24.8 percent over the year to BRL 38.15 billion. Capex dropped 2 percent to BRL 1.08 billion. Oi said it will not provide guidance for 2016 results due to the macroeconomic instability in Brazil.

(Telecompaper) Global LTE mobile infrastructure revenue grew to a record USD 13 billion in the fourth quarter, up 11 percent from the previous quarter and 3 percent year on year, driven by large-scale rollouts in China and India, according to a report from Infonetics. However, China has now reached the end of its massive LTE rollouts led by China Unicom and China Telecom, while LTE builds in Western and Central Europe are very close to completion, suggesting LTE has peaked and 2016 will be its first year of decline, said the report.

Ziggo halts decline in NPS in Q4

(Telecompaper) Ziggo, the largest player in the Dutch triple-play market, brought an end in Q4 2015 to the drop in its Net Promotor Score (NPS), according to Telecompaper's latest 'Triple Play Insights' report. The NPS measures customer loyalty to a certain brand. Ziggo's NPS increased by seven points in Q4, after a period of decline started a year ago after its merger with UPC.
