You will join a team of Database Architects, helping to support a variety of interesting and exciting Satellite projects. You will be at the heart of the development process, allowing you to gain a full and holistic view of the spacecraft. Your main tasks and responsibilities will be To support the Satellite Reference Database SRDB Architect in the development, verification, validation and release of data to users To support SRDB patches e.g. creating and executing Java Scripts or SQL scripts To support the investigation of problems during test related to the SRDB e.g. analysis of test data To follow and suggest improvements to SRDB processes e.g data import, processing Database ProblemChange Report DPR Process To keep up to date the Master DB DPRs within the DPR system JIRA software e.g. highlighting where patches have been made, marking patched DPRs for Master DB attention and generally keeping the DPR thread of information and DPR status up to date To support the release of Master databases in line with schedule requirements to AIV, FV ESOC and provision of sufficient release information in a release note for each DB release DPR patches implemented, relevant OBSW db is compatible with etc To make updates reuseable i.e. Java scripts, SQL scripts to optimise the process of incorporating patches onto different versions To keep informed all database users of the Database Management Tool of any activities impacting access from info from Database Architect To discuss improvements to the database system and processes with the Database Architect and where applicable perform necessary changes, testing and updates to any relevant documentation Skills and experience required Mandatory experience Basic Programming experience e.g. Visual Basic, C or C etc Microsoft Excel SQL Java Preferred experience Database Management Experience e.g. Microsoft Access database, MySQL, ...
