BENICIA >> Depending on the outcome of a special Community Sustainability Commission meeting, Benicia will move forward with the steps to consider a contract for renewable energy. After a lengthy discussion during the Benicia City Council meeting Tuesday night regarding funding source, council members unanimously voted to move forward with the second risk analysis of entering into a contract with Marin Clean Energy - only if the $30,000 study is funded through the Valero/Good Neighbor Steering Committee Settlement Agreement fund.
