Billabong and Quiksilver may merge, banker tells court

Quiksilver Inc president and former Melbourne AFL player Greg Healy was quick to dismiss rumours of a merger with arch rival Billabong International when the surfwear company's US operations filed for bankruptcy protection last month. But speculation that two of the world's largest action sports brands may eventually get together is rapidly gaining momentum as Quiksilver fights for its survival in the US.
