Calls for Celtic director to be sacked after backing Conservatives' tax credit plans

IT is a football club that was founded with the purpose of alleviating poverty, but one Celtic director has defended his vote in support of tax credits cuts in the House of Lords. Glasgow-born former BT chief executive Lord Ian Livingston angered some Celtic supporters by siding with the Conservatives when he voted against delays to Chancellor George Osborne's tax credits changes, prompting nearly 10,000 people to back a campaign to have him sacked from the Celtic board.
