Cambodia Apparel Exports in 4th Quarter and Full 2017 (Country Report)

2018-05-07 16:21:23| EmergingTextiles.com

Cambodia's apparel exports have steadily increased in the last year, thanks to the rebound of the European market. The recovery of the euro and the duty-free access to the European Union have boosted shipments whereas sales to the United States or Japan have stagnated. Cambodia is also confronted with a new increase of its minimum wages ahead of July elections whereas social conditions are far from perfect at clothing plants, triggering complaints from US and EU apparel chains. Our statistical tables offer a comprehensive view of EU and US imports from Cambodia in the last quarter and full 2017, with percentage changes being calculated in volume and value terms. Unit prices are available for a large number of product categories. All data can be downloaded covering a 5-year period from 2012.
