Edmonton Journal: Until this year, Andrew Derocher was convinced Canadas High Arctic islands, where the sea so far remains frozen, would always support some polar bears while populations declined elsewhere. But a new study modelling melting sea ice shows that wont likely be the case, says the University of Alberta professor and Canadas foremost expert on polar bears.
