A Chinese heart specialist was forced to improvise while taking a flight to the United States when he came to the aid of a passenger with chest pains and found the aircraft's first aid kit was faulty, mainland media reports. An American passenger with a history of heart problems began to feel unwell four hours after a United Airlines flight had left Shanghai's Pudong International Airport for Chicago on Thursday, China News Services reported on Friday.
