Cisco confirms takeover of silicon photonics specialist Luxtera for USD 660 mln

(Telecompaper) Cisco has confirmed the takeover of US-based semiconductor company Luxtera for USD 660 million. The company's silicon photonics technology is expected to strengthen Cisco's networking portfolio and support the transition to 400G.
