Professor Taysir Nayfeh, of Cleveland State University, received "Trailblazer in Copper Technology" award for his research in ultraconductive copper - a technology that could revolutionize how copper is used in applications ranging from aerospace in medium term to residential wiring in longer term. Professor Nayfeh's 3 years of exhaustive research have revealed that nanocarbon-in-copper composite materials have a conductivity that is more than twice that of pure copper.
