Could Publix take Trader Joe's spot on Friendly Avenue?

Publix Super Markets Inc. opened its Ballantyne location near Charlotte on Feb. 26. It was the Lakeland, Fla.-based grocer's first store in North Carolina. For the third December in a row, interest in developing a shopping center on the northwest corner of the Friendly Avenue/Hobbs Road intersection is heating up .
