DEQ closes Dewey Hill complaint; no violations

A complaint filed about materials left on Grand Haven's Dewey Hill was quickly resolved and closed by the state agency investigating it. After reviewing current photos and historical aerial pictures, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality determined the materials left on the riverside of the dune "does not violate any state environmental statutes," the DEQ's Michelle Hohn said in an email.
