Dallas Love Field real estate market ready to take off after airport upgrades

Developers who are planning apartments, commercial construction and new hotel and retail around Love Field say that the airport's half-billion-dollar modernization program and the end of domestic flight restrictions will boost business in the neighborhood. "With the nonregulated airport, you knew it would bring renewed interest to the area," said Steve Rogers, president of Viceroy Investments, which owns about 44 acres of property near the south end of Love Field.
