Defendant admits firing gun at downtown Chico bar, was afraid victim would attack

Testifying in his own defense, defendant Shane Michael Warner, 27, said Tuesday that he fired the pistol because he was afraid the alleged victim, Isam "Sam" Smith, was going to attack him on the back patio of LaSalles bar on July 2, 2011.
