Dissidents Fail to Win Ethan Allen Board Seats

Shareholders of Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. elected the seven directors nominated by the furniture company, defeating an effort by activist investor Sandell Asset Management Corp. to win control of the board, according to preliminary results released Tuesday. After its annual meeting in Danbury, Conn., Ethan Allen said shareholders "overwhelmingly" elected its nominees, but didn't provide detailed results.
