Duke Energy executive makes Fortune's 'Heroes of the 500' list

Richard "Stick" Williams , president of the Duke Energy Foundation, ranks 13th on Fortune magazine's "Heroes of the 500" list, which recognizes "extraordinary acts of bravery, kindness and selflessness are changing people's lives." It is a part of the of Project LIFT, a $55 million private-public partnership Williams spearheaded improve the performance of public schools in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
