European Union clothing imports have experienced a rebound in Chinese shipments in the second quarter in volume terms, especially in HS 61 categories of knit clothing. As usual, exports have been supported by a fall of unit prices due to productivity gains and a shift to lower-cost products. Bangladesh, India, and other origins have suffered a setback in many product categories. Our series of comparison tables offer a comprehensive view of EU clothing imports per HS 4-digit category with volume, value and unit price changes, while market shares are also calculated for each major supplying country.
