Position Reference 084 You will be responsible for the management of activities devoted to the development of platform and payloads products for telecommunications satellites including products and hosted payloads under the responsibility of the Space Segment Section. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support initiation of activities related to products for payload and platform applications including the development of telecom products and hosted payloads ready to gain flight heritage Support establishment and control of relevant ESA requirements, specifications and general documentation Evaluation, support to negotiation, monitoring and control of contracts and activities Support or lead design reviews on contracts between the agency and industry Preparation of inputs to status reports. Contribute to the preparation of workplans Support other members of TIATTS section on their projects and share expertise within section. Monitor market and technology trends and developments in the area of satellite communication Cooperate with the specialists in the other ESA departments Identify any issues during procurement phase, running or closing of an activity, and flag them in a timely manner Support preparation of Papers with high quality standards Provide input for the Department Business Intelligence tools Support TIA Communication activities in line with the ESA TIA Communication Policy rules. Follow the relevant and applicable QMS procedures. Maintain the required level of confidentiality and security as defined in the ESA Security Directives Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a university degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or science, and experience in payload andor satellite technology and products for telecommunications satellites. You have a general experience with the design and qualification of satellite equipments for telecommunication satellites and substantial experience in one or more of the following telecommunication payload and platform engineering, including design, system level analysis, manufacturing andor testing payload and platform equipment qualification for satellite telecommunication applications satellite AIT and inorbit testing sound knowledge of different types of payload and platform equipment and their functions at satellite level. excellent organisation and communications skills, attention to detail, resourceful and selfmotivated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships ability to document their work and to produce high quality documents willingness to travel, when required ability to work in an international working environment and be fluent in English How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
