General Electric has been busy over the last 12 months getting in shape, returning to its industrial roots, and ridding itself of non-core businesses. The company also announced a major restructuring program in April of this year that would see the conglomerate sell down its financial assets held within GE Capital and return boatloads of cash to shareholders.
