Position Reference 040 You will have the opportunity to carry out tasks which support activities related to initially Phase B followed by phases CID of the EPSSG Programme in the area of ground segment engineering. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Analysis of the EPSSG system requirements and contribution to the definition of the Ground Segment Requirements and subsystems requirements specification, taking into account the available services provided by MultiMission Elements and the reuse of existing generic infrastructure and element, promoting and ensuring the implementation of the Ground Segment reference architecture and maintainability requirements and standards defined by TSS for the future programmes. Definition of the EPSSG system architecture and interfaces between the EPSSG elements, the MultiMission Elements and reused elements Contribution to the generation of System Design Documents and Interface Control Documents Support the generation of IV V related concepts and documents, including integration and verification plans and preliminary verification control documents. Support to the preparation of, and participation in, phase reviews at system, ground segment system and element level. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline You have at least 5 years of experience in full lifecycle development i.e. requirements specifications, architectural design, implementation and IV V for ground segments developed preferably in the area of 247 operational remote sensing satellites You have at least 5 years of experience of ground segments which are designed and developed taking advantage of the reuse of existing generic infrastructure and functional elements You have at least 5 years of System Engineering practices and experience on AIV specification and planning for large and complex satellite ground segments, preferably for remote sensing spacecrafts. You are fluent in English. The following skills would be highly desirable Ground Segment and SC Monitoring and Control systems, preferably based on SCOS2000 product. Nearrealtime data processing data circulation Archive systems Nearreal time data dissemination. System architectural design with the support of modelling and design tools e.g. Core8 or Enterprise Architect Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS Configuration Control processes and tools Familiarity with the ECSS standards.
