Gulfport Energy spends $300M for 24,000 Ohio acres

One major player in Ohio, Gulfport Energy Corp. , announced a major transaction Wednesday. The Oklahoma City-based company, which operates largely in the Utica, spent $300 million to purchase Paloma Partners, a private company based in Houston.
