Hess, Continental Resources to Make Huge Spending Cuts in 2016

According to a release on the Hess website, the company will cut spending from 2015 by 40 percent in the wake of the struggles in oil and the global markets. "In response to the current low oil price environment, we have significantly decreased our 2016 capital and exploratory expenditures and we plan to reduce activity at all of our producing assets," Hess Chief Operating Officer Greg Hill said in a statement on their website.
