Hog Outlook: Prestage Foods to Build Hog Slaughter Plant in Iowa

US - Prestage Foods of Iowa has obtained approval from the Board of Supervisors for Wright County Iowa to build a hog slaughter plant near Eagle Grove, Iowa. The $240 million plant is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2018, write Ron Plain and Scott Brown, Ag Economics, MU.
