How would $700 million dollars impact your farm?

2016-01-07 23:26:27| Corn & Soybean Digest

The Powerball jackpot is going to be around $700 million for the Jan. 9 drawing. SEVEN-HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. That's seriously life-changing. Even if you took the lump sum option, which will probably be between $350 and $400 million. Not a bad paycheck. How would winning something like that impact your farm? Would you buy more land? Hire people to run your farm? Or just pack up and leave it all behind? Have a little fun and take our latest poll! Feel free to comment with more options of spending your millions. Buy 50,000 acres, hire managers, move to warm climate to count the returns. Buy my favorite ag input company and lower the prices for all farmers. Create a large buying co-op for all farmers and hold suppliers hostage. Keep farming until its all gone. Buy an island and build homes for all your family and friends.
