Leveraging dual voltage architecture, 48 V Micro Hybrid battery system would employ lead-acid battery and 48 V Lithium-ion battery to enable optimization of energy generation and consumption. While 48 V battery would support higher power loads, such as electric air-conditioning, active chassis technologies, and capture of direct regenerative power energy braking, 12 V battery would continue to provide power to vehicle starter, interior and exterior lights, and entertainment systems.
