Blue and Green: Last year global capacity for renewable power grew at its fastest pace to date, with almost 22% of power generation coming from clean sources, data in a report from the International energy Agency (IEA) has revealed. In 2013 global renewable electricity generation rose by an estimated 240 terawatt hours (TWh), a 5% increase on the previous year, taking the total to almost 5,070 TWh.
