Responsibilities Duties The Senior Systems Administrator will be part of the TPZVD IT Support Team in the delivery of IT services to the client. The work shall include analysis of the requirements design, integration, validation and documentation of IT solutions Possible participation to the oncall rota. Qualifications Experience A university degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent. At least 5 years proven experience in IT Linux and software build. The successful candidate will have strong goaloriented and planning capabilities, coupled with very good problemsolving skills and a pronounced customer focus. Applicants should have strong communication and collaboration skills, be able to work in a diverse team environment and accomplish goals in line with team objectives. Experience operating critical IT infrastructure environments, working in mixed operating system environments, managing technical service transition, creation and maintenance of support documentation. Interesting to learn and dealing with modern technologies. Essential Skills CCJava to the extent to be able to support software developers Basic Networking, distributed applications knowledge, and TCPIP. Familiar with Change Management processes ITIL An advancedlevel command of English and an ability to present output in a clear, concise and understandable way, both orally and in writing Proactive and confident personality. Ability to manage assigned activitiestasks accountability and respect for deadlines. Work experience with automated OS installation solutions like Jumpstart ,Kickstart, IBM NIM, Baramundi, Orcharhino and also with unattendedcentralized software installation like PXETFTP. Experience with software automation, provisioning, configuration management and deployment tools like Ansible Experience with software build environment and tools like Ant, Maven, autoconfautomake, make. Source Code Management SVN,GIT, CVS, ClearCase Familiar with software packaging formats like RPM,PKG,LPP,tgz Programmingscripting experience Python, Perl,bash,ksh,csh and UnixLunix command line tools. Basic work experience with Linux OS RHEL, SLES and derivatives, system administration ,customization, hardening and tuning. CCJava to the extent to be able to support software developers Basic Networking, distributed applications knowledge, and TCPIP. Ability to manage assigned activitiestasks accountability and respect for deadlines. Good Troubleshooting skills of Incidents and Problems providing when necessary root cause analysis. Desirable Skills Basic Windows System Administration Installation and maintenance of ORACLE, MySQL or MariaDB databases Installation and maintenance of the ECLIPSE or similar IDE Work experience with Software testing using Agile methodology.
